Do you think he could be a troll?

 

Hmm... am glad I got rid of that tag - now I can talk freely, but old habits still die hard! Now I can't moderate others, I end up moderating myself!

 

It is very likely that this happens often around the girl.Very likely that the mil or mother also separated after the initiation into JF life.This separating from the JF is not 'our generation ' thing...has been happening for ages.

 

Officer Rags on Troll Patrol called it out already.

 

I thought it was the other one she and Jags called out.

 

She sometimes gives personal hints ....to keep people like me away from such threads.

 

What would be your reaction if your husband recorded your conversation and used it against you?



I think that would entitle me to life time 'maun vrat'....who knows where the recorder is hidden.

 

She must not have known the real experience of living with MIL in JF before marriage. May be girls should be given a simulated environment of living with MIL before marriage so that they can take an informed decision while giving the consent for living in JF .....

 

Infact i was discussing this JF with my DH today, and i was saying that todays generation is blamed for having lack of patience and tolerance hence nuclear families are increasing while i have seen that even the people of our parents generation also lacking same things as they themselves were not living in JF. They are the generation in transition of JF to nuclear. Hence after living nuclear all their life they themselves lack the skill of adjustment and compromise and are habitual of ekchatra raj (unchallenged ruling) in their house. Hence when new DIL comes instead of accommodating her they want to rule over her. Infact i feel that people of our parent's generation would be more comfortable if they live seperate from DIL as they are habitual of living nuclear only, but somehow they are not able to remove obsession of JF from their mind.
