Re: Fresh Indian veggies in Melbourne

    Dear Pmn,

Karelas are available in pleanty in chinese shops. Hong Kong in Clayton stocks them along with Raw bananas. I got them last year to give as Daan for parents-in-law's shraddh.

Greens are available in many vege stores. Yes, we do not get the same variety. But Hong Kong has many varieties of greens...It is on Clayton Road. Near Clayton stn...

    Regards,

    Corallux

    Re: Moving to Melbourne, Australia

    Hi corallux and all others,

we arrived in Melbourne last month and we got a rent house after a long............. search and we settled .we are near watergarden town centre.my kids are admitted to a nearby catholic school which was my main concern .the school is a very good one .we can walk to the railway station and shopping centres so it is easy for me to go alone for shopping .it is a very new thing for me as i am coming back from Saudi arabia. there we cant go out alone to anywhere without husband.

my husband started his job search .he attended three interviews .he had 18 years experience but here they are asking oz experience. He is an Electrical Engineer and last 8 years he was Chief Engineer for a large complex with lots of offices, mall, hotels, apartments, etc.Hope he will find a good one very soon.pray for us.

rest everything ok .and me and my kids all liked the place.waiting to see the places and explore AUSTRALIA.

    Regards
    nj

    Welcome to Melb Nirjohn,

It is good you got a place to stay. Rented properties are hard to come by,

What your hubby is undergoing is normal. Ask him to start in a small company then after some time, he can go into a bigger one.

Be positive, everything will be fine.

    Regards,

    Corallux

    Re: Moving to Melbourne, Australia

    Hi,

I am being told that I would need insurance in Australia. There are two types here - outbound and inbound. I am confused as in which one should I go for as the difference in the price is quite high.
Can someone help me here. Is it too expensive to go to a general practitioner for routine things like viral, fever, cold, etc. In that case I need an out bound insurance too. I usually visit the doctor once or twice a month and my husband just one a twice a year.
Please advise what should be a better option.
