Spicy Food During Pregnancy

    Hello All,
    I'm in my Second trimester now and I like to have spicy food(Vegeterian).
    Please share your opinion about having Spicy food during this time.

    As long as you don't suffer from heartburn, spicy food should be alright. Have heartburn tablets ready on hand before you eat though. Also have yoghurt / curds / lassi on hand to quell your tummy in case it is too spicy.

    I'm not aware of any reason why a pregnant woman can't eat spicy food if she wants to.

    Hello

    Congratulations on your pregnancy! As for spicy food, my mum did not let me eat during both my pregnancies because she said this can sometimes induce labour. I did some research online as well and I'd found some websites that said eating spicy food can induce labour. I guess it depends on how spicy you like it as well.
    Maybe do your research online before you start and also consult with your doctor, just to be on the safe side?
