I moved from USA to Chennai and finally I settled on this school. I will tell you a few things amongst the rest that I liked about in this school.
    1. School is child friendly. Which is ultimately resulting in a confident kid.
    2. Good coaching given to children without pressurising them.
(Earlier I sent my child to few branded schools. But believe me, the brand name was there but the stuff was not there)
    3. Co-operative teachers and office. Front office has always respected my queries. And has been prompt in looking into the matter.
    4. A very good infrastructure is under construction.
    5. Being an international school, school celebrates all festivals ranging from Halloween, Dandiya during Navratri, Pongal, Independence day etc..
    6. School conducts all extra-circular activities and encourages all students to participate as well. But doesn't create competition among them by declaring winners. This approach I had seen in the schools in USA.
My 3 year old and 6 year old are studying in this school. Location of the school is amongst a good residential area. I am not a person who sends the child to a faraway school from the home. So in that context you can reside at walking distance from the school.
I am very satisfied with this school. I can answer your queries regarding the school to my knowledge. But for school fees and bus routes pls call the school:)

P.S.- The school will be following CBSE and IGCSE syllabus.

Thanks for your detailed review. Me too in the same situation as yours, just returned from the US & would like to put my 4.5 year old daughter in the best possible school.
Can you please help with these questions?

    1) "A very good infrastructure is under construction" - Does that mean they are running school when the building is in progress? I am hesitant to put my Kid to a school which is still under construction as firstly, it is dangerous, and secondly, would not want the construction workers to be around. This is the very reason I skipped Velammal, which is closer to my home than Trileaves.

    2) How good are the rest rooms?

    3) The school as such is small (for now) but their website shows the plan (that looks like a shopping mall :p) of a huge building. Is that the CBSE building or the current IGCSE one?

    4) My daughter speaks only English (as of now) and would it be a problem for her to mix with her class & students?

    5) I heard other IGCSE schools have UKG classes 9 AM - 3 PM, but here they have 9 AM - 1 PM. Though I am happy with the lesser time, wondering what makes them to differ. Plz share your thoughts.

    Hi Padmpriy,
    1) Construction and students do not go together. At any point I didn't feel any risk due to construction activities going. Even I don't like construction workers near students. During the school hours, only same old aayas and guards will be around the kids.
Since your child is only 4.5 years old, she will be going to the old building which is solely for kindergarten. This building is also safely guarded and needs permission from the office to enter. By the time she comes to the new building, lot more would have progressed.
    2) They have clean restrooms, separate for boys and girls. However for kindergarten maid's will be escorting the kids, to help them with uniforms. From what I have seen these maids do their duty well and are monitored by the staff. So after being watchful I stopped getting insecure feeling from them.
    3) If you go to the school and ask them to show the new building plan, they will show in the media.
    4) My son who was 3 year old spoke only English as well. For 3 years olds, they allow the kids speak tamil as well. My son loves story telling. He even comes home and narrated stories told by his teacher. At the parents teachers meet, I asked the same question to the teacher, that since he doesn't speak Tamil yet is he mingling with other kids? So she said, while teaching, some kids needed Tamil and some understood both the languages.. But for my son they have solely narrated stories since he spoke only one language. I thought that was a kind effort of the teacher and felt my child is getting the attention he needs. For my elder one too, they have group discussions in class and practical knowledge wherever possible.
    5) Earlier they had school upto 3pm for UKG as well. If I am not wrong, from parents demand they changed it to 1 PM. Most of the parents picked their kids at lunch time with permission from the office, when ukg's had school upto 3.From what I have seen, upto 3pm timings worked well for working parents. Stay at home moms were keen in picking the kids at lunch time. In my opinion, my elder daughter who is now 8, studied half her ukg in US and went to school upto 3:30pm and then did her remaining ukg in India and went to a school(different school from trileaves) upto 1pm. Trust me either ways it didn't make any difference.
I have tried to answer, to the best of my knowledge. Visit the school and talk to the office. I changed few schools before this one and finally felt this one met my standards.

Thanks a lot for your detailed reply. They have said for ukg igcse, current year, classes will be in the new under construction building. Next year they assure it will come under the existing campus. Also next year they promise classrooms would be air conditioned which is currently not available.

Hi NamasteChennai & padmpriy. I have recently moved from US to Chennai and would like to know if your wards are studying in Trileaves International School? The above thread has very detailed information but I understand this is a 5 year old thread. Any current reviews regarding the school is much appreciated.Thank you.
