My Daughter- The most precious!

The next day- Saturday

Ashvini starts her day quite late as her thoughts and fears disturbed her sleep last night. As she freshens up quickly and decide to call out for her morning tea, Sita was to be seen no where around.

She walks her way through the kitchen the common room and the store to find Sita missing. Ashvini peeps through the window to see Sita mopping the veranda outside, while Kumar instructing the gardener to set the best potted plant in the visible area while he asked him to keep the rest aside.

Ashvini took a deep breath and kept gazing at her dad at a distance. Kumar were busy with his instruction, and turned back to the gardener reminding him to mow the lawn. “You can call one or two helper if needed”, Kumar said ensuring everything was ready in time.

Sita taps Ashvini disturbing her focus, “I just have to clean a small portion on the opposite side, shall I get you tea after that?” asked Sita who hadn’t forgotten her daily routine.

“Yeah, that’s fine, take your time.” said Ashvini, and walks towards her dad. Kumar was by the then examining the potted plants, he noticed Ashvini standing behind him.

“Oh, you woke up, Goodmorning Ashvini.” Kumar touching the petals of a flower said: This one would look good to be kept next to the entrance right, Ashvini?

Ashvini bluntly asks: Dad, what’s special today?

“Not today darling, it’s tomorrow. Ashoke is coming to see you.” , said Kumar.
“Ashoke?” asked Ashvini clearing her doubt.

Kumar requested the gardener to pick up the pot and follow him. Yes, that’s his name said Kumar to Ashvini.

By then a car drove into the premises, Ashvini knew it was Shan uncle’s car. Kumar waited until Shan got out of the car, and later the gardener placed the potted plant as intrusted by Kumar.

Kumar asked him to get a similar looking plant to place it next to the other side of the entrance, by then Shan walked towards Kumar and they shook hands.

He greeted Ashvini too. They seemed to be clueless about what he was doing here rather than being at work.

Kumar took the step to find out and asked: Didn’t you go to work?

“Yes I did Bhiya, there isn't much work on Saturdays.” ,answered Shan.

“Whether there is work or not, you should be at work during the working hours” advised Kumar to which Shan smiled with a tint of guilt.

Sita calls out Ashvini to have her tea, she excuses herself. On her way Kumar reminds Ashvini to let Sita know Shan is home.
