It's time ( about time :grimacing: actually) to pick up a book to read this August here at the club. August is also the month of Raksha Bandhan so how about we use this as the theme? Lets pick a book that has siblings as protagonists.

The first book that comes to mind, when I think of siblings are the Dashwood sisters in Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. Or we can go on an adventure with the Pevensies and read C.S. Lewis's The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (The Chronicles of Narnia).

Share your recommendations/ nominations biblioites and I will set up a poll to vote for the book of the month, shortly.

Tagging @Visasri @blessings1010 @daisy2015 @chillbreeze @maggi32 @Amica @Kukudukuu @helpmeangel and all book lovers out there who wish to join us.

Now that I've established my spiritual/moral creds :p, here are more sibling books I'd recommend:

To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
East of Eden by John Steinbeck
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky
A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams
The Mill on the Floss by George Eliot
Rich Man, Poor Man by Irwin Shaw
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews
The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough
The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
    The Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri
    White Teeth by Zadie Smith
The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy

And let's not forget the Weasleys in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. :D
