    No nicknames for my MIL. But my aunt's MIL was a very orthodox lady obsessed with 'madi' and rituals and traditions. She would always block anyone from entering the kitchen even to get a glass of water. Hence the moniker 'Checkpoint Charlie'.

    My MIL name is VV (vyadhiyo vyadhi).( sick o sick in English) .. She will keep on say headache, head spin, I will get fever tomorrow, my nails are painning, neck pain, climate is not good so I may get cold.... Etc from morning to dawn......

    But what if your mil is actually not well. At her age, so many hormonal changes takes place in a woman's body due to menopause etc.

    My mil is exactly same!! She has some or the other problem all the time! No insence stick.. She will sneeze. No ghee she will get cold. No kesari it will attack her nervous system!!( she actually said that) more salt in everything because how salt is very good! More garlic ( whole pieces.. Hates to cut or crush it) coz it's good to chew garlic !! Yikes that's the worst of all!!
