    Sangeetha kalanidhi for the year has been chosen and its one of my favorite violinists. Kum. Kanyakumari.
    I have heard her so many times. Love her playing. Very clean..very precise fingering. A life truly dedicated to music.

    She is a great guru. Produced many fine students. That to me the hardest to accomplish. Love her duets with Embar Kannan .

    The legend Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna passed away :(
    With a voice truly as rare as gold...he was not shy to forge new grounds. So many many of his renditions are my all time favs. :cry:

    I did not click "like" due to the nature of the news.
    Yes @justanothergirl JAG, he was one genius. I had the privilege of driving him around our town, when he came to perform 'Annamacharya', in 2000, I think.
    Very sad news.
