How old baby should be to put in day care

    Hello - I live in Mount Prospect IL (USA). We are expecting a baby in May /June 2016. In US , if we don't have our parents and in laws around to help with new born. I have few concerns listed below :
    How old the baby should be to put in day care ?
    Is it safe to go with day care or live in nanny ?
    What would be the requirements for day care ( food and others ) ?

    Hi..you can put in day care after 1 year if you are working..else 2 yr is gud time.

    Minimum age requirement is 6 wks for the daycare. If you find a good daycare, there shouldn't be any problems with little one. We used a babysitter (friend's wife who had a baby 6 months older than mine) from wk 12 to 18 months and then started daycare for my first one. For my second, I stayed at home for 8 months and then sent her to daycare. Personally, I trust daycare more as there are more people around than a nanny. But that's a personal preference. We were lucky to find good people and good daycare. For food, if you are breastfeeding, make bottles of breastmilk everyday.
