    I would burst into tears, in her position. I would feel totally disgusted with myself in that position. I don't think I can dare look at the monk's face.

    Seeing the inner beauty takes a lot of practice isn't it.
    The then younger monk is truly a monk, who can see inside pus and beauty of a person he meets.
    But happened to the end of the story..I think you stopped it 3/4 of the way to the story...thiruppum suspense a?

    Dear Malar,
    You have drawn a very neat parallel there. When we have a need we look ugly to others. Our need is like the pus oozing out of our skin. The "superficial" friends do not want to come near us. But true friends never mind the pus; they even have a cure for us.
    But to find out true friends is very difficult. The best way to start the search is to be a true friend to somebody.
