did u check with doc about it? normally babies this age and if b'fed poop more often than formula babies. She is too small. Do give any home medicine etc to eat w/o docs advice.
Check with the on-call nurse asap, they will guide you. 4 days should is a long gap...dont delay it further.
hi, Please consult a pediatrician about this. How ever , my nephew had same issue and the doc said its nothing to worry about and that babies might go without pooping for even a week. additionally, you can try prune juice. If your baby feeds your BM, you can try adding more fiber to your diet as well.
Op For such small babies not pooping for 5 days is normal. This is what my paed told me. Meanwhile check if this happened after introducing the formula. Do not worry. Try this home remedy if you are interested. Take 1 spoon of ajwain(omam) boil in 1 glass of water. Feed just 1/4 tea spoon to the kid. Kid will poop in a few hours. Regularly feeding this once in a week or twice, will help in easy digestion, and relieve constipation and gastrics. Age old remedy, and I Tested with my kid. So dont get scared for using it. Meanwhile call the on call nurse or check with the paed too.
As she is 7 weeks old don't try to give any home remedy. Ask your doctor about the formula, sometimes changing the formula brand also helps. Check with your doctor and proceed.
Thanks all for the reply. My baby pooped on the 5 th day. My doc suggested a old school remedy which they follow and I did that along with some massage on her tummy. It worked.
