Please tell me how to make chapati using kuttu flour. I made chapati using kuttu + wheat flour. It tasted bitter and could not eat. Thanks

I make Puri with Kuttu Atta. Take normal atta, kuttu atta and 1 boiled potato. Mash the potato and knead the flour. This will give elasticity and improvise the taste.

Hi Radv.We make thalipeeth with kuttu aata which is similar to what Mathiravi has mentioned.Simply mix kuttu atta with boiled grated potato, cumin seeds, green chillies crushed, roasted peanut coarsely ground and salt.Knead well.If needed add a little curd while kneading.Make small balls and on a greased plastic sheet flatten them as much as possible with your fingers. In the centre make a hole with the back of a spoon. You can make more holes around too for allowing the thalipeeth to cook properly and become slightly crisp.Transfer it on a tava.Add oil in the holes.Allow to cook by covering the tava with a lid.Flip and allow to cook again but this time uncovered.Serve with curds.

Thanks Radv but chilla is different from thalipeeth.Chilla is similar to pancake or dosa and so is the batter. However, thalipeeth is kneaded into a soft dough compared to chapatis where the dough is slightly harder.
