    Hi,
I like to go shopping on my own. It is a lot better than going with DH, who will be impatient. But going to movies alone........ no never........ i mean i have never got a chance to go alone......... DH has always accompanied me...... DH loves to watch movies and i like to go to movies becoz of the popcorn.

Depends on the place where you live. It is mostly safe in the main cities where you have a theater in the mall. I have gone alone several times when my husband, sister or friend can not make it on my available day. It was always before the kids came in. Now I hardly get some lone time, and movie gets the back seat.

    hi,
I usually wouldn't go alone for a movie and love to have DH and DD with me or sister / friends when in Mumbai.

But recently gone ahead and watched a lovely movie on my own when I felt I was being taken too much for granted at home and had had an argument with DH/DD.
My mood was totally off and I decided that is that, I will go and enjoy myself (instead of just fuming alone at home) at the mall, catch a movie, have a burger, ... you get the point ;)

So that is what I went ahead and did, and loved every bit of it!
Came home to someone waiting for me, instead of the other way round as always.

Made me feel quite good.

    best,
    Hasita

I have watched once alone, since my friend couldn't make it. I didn't want the tickets to b wasted, so thought y not as I was there already. But felt bored during the intermission & overall it was a dull experience (though the movie was good) unlike shopping on our own which is more fun without H! :p

On second thoughts, I wonder if I would watch alone in my hometown in India... Even if its the PVR or any other big theatres one cannot always avoid the teasing youths outside... A usual thing in my place... Watching with friends / family / husband seems a safer option, one reason y most women prefer not to go alone I think... IMHO.
