recipes with raw mangoes which are sweet?quick inputs please

mango salsa is my choice of food to dip. Add lemon juice.

 

I like angura. It is raw mango sweet pickle. Here is the recipie.

Wash and slice mangoes
Put one tea spoon of musturd oil in pan
then put some panchforan( methi, sauf, ajawain, jeera and musturd)
Then put 2 3 dried red chillies and one crushed elaichi
then put all mango slices and water(2cup)
Put 2 cup sugar and a pinch of salt.
Simmer till suger melts and water gets thick. U can have it specially with parathas. I love it.

(1) Have your tried replacing Sugar with Jaggery

(2) Panchforan is for tempering I guess..

:welcome to IL family, Thanks for sharing Gulamba, sounds very simple and easy,

As we keep mixing on low flame it attains Jam consistency is it? Both together the shelf life can also be longer.. ( ofcourse using dried spoons)

Thank you sis and yes we can replace sugar with jaggery but i prefer sugar

 

Thats right.. Jaggery will bring the consistency..
