    Deeps and Manali,
Yummy! I'm drooling here. I'm unable to post pictures. I hope I can resolve the upload issue soon.

Hi Lak09 - no not at all. There's nothing to take personal :) Curd is good for multiple reasons. I happened to notice the bloating as well, thats all. For that matter even fiber makes our stomach to bloat, like oats, wheat etc. This is proven fact though. But my point is if you want slim tummy, you can try avoiding curd, if it works, great, otherwise, you're lucky, you get to eat with no bloating.

Yeah I'm not really on diet, still eating rice, but when I make so called healthy food, will definitely post it.

Hi ChandrikaV - there's nothing to get confused, like I've been saying CURD IS DEFINITELY good for health. I was mentioning more on flat tummy. We Indians tend to take CURD & Rice, thats where bloating happens, taking plain yogurt is better I guess.

    Jeya,

With too much of discussion going through here, i had an article in my archives some time back and i thought this was the right time to share. It was from the International Journal of Obesity. Please refer to this ladies. They have rightly said some information on curds and their effect on waist circumference. Worth reading this when theres a lot of discussion happening on curd/yogurt here.

However Jeya, dont mind responses here, as each body has a different response to foods diffferently.

This post of your is different from your previous post.......you were stating that curd is carb.....the title of this thread contains sans rice.. we are trying to avoid rice because of the carb.......curd rice is avoided but curd is included in some form or other.

I have been following this thread closely and i would love to add my recipes as well, though i dont make anything very healthy these days. I am cooking only simple(carb) dishes at home and get tired soon.
I hope to get motivated and post some healthy food in few months :)
Hope this thread will be alive after 3 or 4 months too..

But i make salads every now and then and i will try to post the pics :)

Thanks all! All are welcome :) I hardly ever have guests, and I would welcome some human interaction (with someone other than my husband).

    Lunch today:
