    hi archana,

    actually warli is d name of a tribe in maharashtra. as u said many ppl r inspired by warli art because of their simple form n d art contains a theme like festival celebration, marriage celebration,harvest, folkstory, working etc.,
    The major highlight is these all have people in group depicting the social life.

    2 ur surprise thr r separate art museum for warli in france n japan.

    they r painted on mud walls wit white paint(calcium oxide) closely remind us 2 d pre-historic cave paintings.

    warli paintings on paper have become very popular and are now sold all over India. Today, small paintings are done on cloth and paper but they look best on the walls or in the form of huge murals that bring out the vast and magical world of the Warlis.
