    Sorry for my late reply. Only an electric beater will help double the volume. Milk powder should not be left out. I advise you to follow the other recipe with condensed milk for better results.

    Dear Chithramma,

    my baby turned 8 and today is his janma nakshatram:) made chakkara pongal (directly in pressure cooker method). the only change i did is reduce jaggery amount as the one i had was extremely sweet. i'm really proud of myself today... super consistency and esp. making for prasadam i did not taste it. but i always have complete confidence in your recipes. it turned out so well... after neivedyam i distributed at the temple itself. thank you thank you thank you:)
