You have managed to lose considerable weight but are you struggling to shed those last few kilograms? Researches show that most dieters are not sufficiently hydrated which could be one of the reasons of slow weight loss. Here are five reasons how water can help you lose weight.

    1. Curbs Appetite: Drinking two glasses of water before a meal will make you feel full faster. Drinking water regularly will keep you full for long periods. This also minimizes the cravings to binge. Spare feeling guilty by drinking water whenever you feel like grabbing a snack loaded with calories. Most of the times, this trick prevents intake of hundreds of unnecessary calories.

    2. Digestive Aid: Lack of water in the body slows digestion, which directly impacts body metabolism. This can make you feel bloated and tired. Keeping the body hydrated with sufficient water boosts the functioning of digestive and other organs of the body, including liver. Did you know that body needs about one liter of water to digest thousand calories that you consume?

    3. Water retention: Sluggish body metabolism leads to water retention in the body, which can make you feel bloated. Drinking the recommended amount of water per day flushes out toxins and prevents water retention.

    4. Zero calories: Water is a wonderful natural drink that has zero calories. Drinking water is the best alternative to juice and other snacks that are laden with hundreds of calories. Plain water does more good than harm to the body.

    5. Energy levels: Keeping the body hydrated improves overall body energy, focus and memory. This will keep you motivated to be physically active, thus paving the path for weight loss.

    Taking the First Steps

You should aim to drink about two liters of fluids per day. The requirement actually varies for each individual. Men on an average require about 3 liters adn women need 2.2 liters per day. Pregnant and lactating mothers require 2.3 and 3.1 liters respectively. Do not wait to feel thirsty to drink water. It is an indication that your body is dehydrated.

If you are not used to drinking lot of water, start with small amount and gradually increase the intake. You will feel very comfortable if you drink water all at once. Water is tasteless; hence, flavor it with natural herbs and citrus fruits. Remember, dehydration and weight-loss go hand in hand. So, increase your water intake today!

Indications That Your Requirements Are Met

Your body should produce about 1.5 liters of urine that is pale yellow in color, during the course of the day. If the urine is dark yellow, you are dehydrated with insufficient water.

How many glasses of water do you intake every day? What are some ways you sneak in to drink more water in your daily routine?

Yes. our body itself consists of more water . Try consume atleast 600 ml of water in the morning once you wake up. this will help in clearing the toxics on our body and help in recovering from the dehyderation of whole night fasting.
