Did she get the husband a present when she got pregnant for providing the sperm?

push presentsssssssssssss.. i have heard about this one but not seen many people following this. Do wives really have time to think about their push presents once the baby is born??? I guess the best push present will be their health care and baby care for few months.. One of my cousins too got her push present in form of gold when she gisted her in laws with their grandson otherwise her life was a hell with comments..
As a general practice i have seen the person who helps during the delivery after the delivery will get some present.

Oh, push present would definitely be a sweet gesture.. However, after delivery, for the first few months all the wives need from their husband's is good care, proper understanding and atleast a little help in taking care of the baby :)

Hmmm... I had a C-Section and that's probably why I didn't get one ( let me just kid myself that that's the reason and that I actually have a very thoughtful husband who would have gotten me a present if I had actually pushed my baby out )

Well... I should say I was quite the shrew for a couple weeks after giving birth to my baby and I guess if my husband is still with me and my mom is still visiting me and putting up with me when I go to India, I must really have a gift of being surrounded with people who have a lot of patience ;-)

Hey nothing wrong with gifts too. I never say no to any gifts from my husband. Any occasion or no occasion- any gesture of affection is welcome from him:)

Isn't there a tradition of making new mangalsutra for wife after child is born? Its fairly common in my parts anyway.
A heavy weight gold mangalsutra will be nice 'push present'.
