7 yr old and beauty conscious!

    Hi Pooja, kiranavvari, vjbunny, Thanks for taking time and posting a response. So there are more girls wanting to look like Barbie! My daughter also wants to have hairstyles just like Barbie...even the barbie dolls that she has, she keeps trying different things with that!
    I'm encouraging her a lot on drawing and singing! For now, I'll take this easy and see how it goes!

    been there, my DD is 9 now
    at that age, and still sometimes its all barbie for her
    dress, hair, looks..

    she will outgrow it as she gets older
    coz i have seen it reducing with my daughter
    all her dresses were pink till recently
    but now the colour is purple it seems
    it will keep on changing, so dont worry dear

    as others said, divert her attention to some activites

    my daughter also loves drawing and colouring

    and to let u know, she still buys barbie dressing up dolls!!!

    Thanks Haya for your response! How similar...my daughter can only choose pink color for anything and everything! Dresses, accessories, her study table, her comb, bed spread --- what not is in pink in our home! My husband has developed an aversion to that color and he doesn't let me buy anything in pink for myself :)
    One good thing about her watching these cartoons is her spoken English is good! All her coloring books/activity books are of barbie or bheem theme!
    From what you all say, its a phase...so I'll go with the flow!

    Dear VJBunny, I will talk to her on the drawing competition...and see if she wants to do something!
