I am moving to Irvine,Los Angeles and would need suggestions on things to get.
This is my first visit and I am not sure of the things to get there.
I amr eally worried about the rice cooker.Do we need to get it from India ? or is it cheap over there ?
Also confused about the mixie.

Can someone please suggest some other MANDATORY appliances/spices to get other than the masala powders n pickels

Not sure whether you are bachelor or married with family.
Yes electric rice cooker if u get from india it might not work but you should get your pressure cooker with a flat bottom which can be kept in induction stove as well because many houses here does not have blue flame . And mixie yes get a new mixie preethi (110 v) from a nearby shop, you can say that it should work on 110v (for USA ) these are the main two things rest all u can get it here. you can get ur flat tawa if you want but u will get it here
