Normally, I do not comment on the views of the other Astrologers because, each Astrologer has his own style of assessment. But as this a sensitive issue, I am trying to give my assessment on the issues raised by you:

a) Family sthana (2nd house) in both charts are afflicted

True, the 2nd house has been afflicted in both cases - you have exalted Saturn in the 2nd house, who happens to be the fifth lord, lord of progeny in your case. In the case of your husband, the 2nd house is occupied by Saturn and Mars; whereas the 5th lord Jupiter is placed in the Lagna, aspecting the 5th house, house of progeny. The matters concerning the progeny has to be seen from the 5th house only.

The cycle is like - Lagna or 1st house is - self
5th house from the lagna is child
9th house from the Lagna is father

so, the cycle is father, his child and their children. Mere affliction of 2nd house/house lord will not deny the birth of the children. There are number of couples, who 2nd house/house lords are afflicted; but gifted with the children.

Hence, for matters concerning the progeny has to be seen from the 5th house only not only from Janma Lagna; but also Moon sign and also Jupiter sign of both Rasi as well as Navamsa charts. The second house from the Lagna is matters concerning family, finance etc.

b) My husband's Jupiter is combust

According to the birth details given by you, your husband's sun is in Leo at 2 deg 36min and 42.12 seconds. The Jupiter is also in Leo at 21 deg 44 min. Any planet within 8 degree on both side of Sun will get combust. You can calculate the distance between Sun and Jupiter. Mere conjunction of any planet with Sun will not cause combustion, according to my learning.

c) The SP for both of us is not promising.

The SP, which I believe that he is mentioning about the Sensitive points for Bheeja Sphutam and Kshetra Sphutam. Earlier, I have not worked out the same for the simple reason that you have already told that you got naturally conceived; but got aborted. Hence, I did not attempt for the same and I use to calculate the same only when there is abnormal delay or the affliction is high.

Now I did the same; I got the SP of 81 deg and 03 min in your case, which is not favourable and in the case of your husband the SP is 341 deg and 19 min, which is 50% favourable. So, the SP in both cases is not favourable is not correct. There are various number of Ayamsa; and each Astrologer is using different Ayamsa; whereas I am using Lahiri.

Also, in your case, the SP is aspected by Jupiter from his own house, which is good, according to Mr. B.V. Raman, the pioneer of Indian Astrology.

So, I am of the view that you are capable of giving birth of the child, with proper medical consultation/ treatment.

There are few combinations for adoption of a child; but no such combination is found in the charts.

However, I would like to point out that there is Naga/sarpa dosham according to your husband's chart, which is due to the conjunction of Mars and Saturn; but in as much as you had reported that you have already visited the temples and done the remedial measures, I did not mention about the same.

Both of you can consult a doctor and come to a conclusion.

Regarding the change of job, let him continue his search and in case, if he misses the chance, in the near future, the period is not much supportive for the same.

The progeny has to be ascertained form the 5th house. In both the chart, the 5th house and 5th lords have been afflicted, causing Nagar or Sarpa Dosha, for which the remedial measures have to be done. This is not Kala Sarpa Dosha.

For example, in your chart, there is a conjunction of Saturn and Mars in the 5th house, causing Sarpa Dosha and the 5th lord Mercury is aspected by Rahu.

In respect of your husband chart, the 5th house is afflicted by Mars and Rahu and the Puthraharaha Jupiter, who is placed in the 5th house is also afflicted by Mars and Rahu, causing Sarpa Dosha and the 5th lord Sun is aspected by Saturn.

Hence, it is essential that necessary remedial measures for the Naga/Sarpa Dosha is done, preferably at Rameswaram, which is extremely good or Kalahasthy. After doing this, both of you can have some medical consultation and there may be some need for some treatment for both of you. If you complete them, then there are chances that you will get conceived between May, 2013 and May, 2014.
