Utensils to take to U.S

Hi,

This month end my mom and dad are going to U.S (San Francisco) to my brother place where he is staying with friends.Now he is finding seperate house for our parents.

Now we are in packing process.Just we bought provisions like rice,flour,turmeric powder, et.,..

And also they are planning to take utensils also.
Our List:
1.Cooker (For Rice)
2.Fry Pan (To prepare side dish and Kuzhambu)
3.Dosa pan (Dosa/Chapathi)
4.Paniyara satti
5.Some Karandi,Tumbler,spoons,Plate etc.,..

Please advice me shall we take the utensils which we used in our house or better to buy new thing (Non stick -Induction based)
Here we use it in gas stove.
There i dont know how it will be.

Pls clear my doubts and pls give some tips also

hi there,

i m in US....the most important thing u forgot is mixie..... very very important... u can find the US plug preethi mixie in rathnastores.

all provision can be purchased here in US in indian store...not so important...

important things needed : pressure cooker, chappathi katai,US small table top grinder, mixie.

apart from these... plates, spoon, karandi... everything can be purchased here in walmart... but if you have space in luggage u can take some karandi....

here we have electric coil stove.... so all utensils should be flat bottomed... no curve at the bottom, it will not stand on it.

Yes we have the plan to buy Mixie here in chennai.
WE have doubts about the stove only,now i get cleared.
Any utensils with flat bottomed is ok.
