    Hi Saraswatipv,

I have never been to Mandamani but I have been to Digha several times..Digha has some adjoining places where we can visit also...But I have heard its nearby Digha only.

Santiniketan is a great place..I have been there during the Holi...which is popularly called "dol Utsav" or "Basanta Utsav"...there...at these times there is huge crowd there....from Bolpur to Santiniketan....there are fairs all around...people play Holi....its a great fun....people of all ages come here at that occassion and njoy....

Have anybody been to Bankura Bishnpur...that is a place of historic value...

    Hi Nabanita,

I like your name. sounds very bengali and very sweet. Parineeta, nabanita -- all bengali names I suppose.
I'll be visiting kolkata in a few days fm now. I've got a few info from the net but would like to know a bit more.

Could u pls suggest a restaurant where I can taste typical, authentic bengali food - veg & Non veg??
I do hear a lot about famous bengali cotton fabrics. Is malmal cotton a special fabric of bengal??

could u elaborate on belur math??

    Hope I'm not troubling you.
    If possible, pls reply ASAP.

    Thanks in advance,

    Love,
