    Dear Chithramma,

Thanks to the special link for pongal recipes this year. I made sakkarai pongal, ven pongal and medhu vadai all from your collection. ellame perfect-a... esp. the sakkarai pongal. slow cooking in cooker gave it such a creamy taste and good consistency. vadai - finally i could make the proper shape... demystified:)

Thanks again for the 5 minute cake - kids avalo relish pannala (sorry!) - they wanted more sweet in it. so amma grabbed it and relished every crumb of it. she couldn't believe it was made with biscuits and that too in a jiffy.

    Dearest Chitramma :)

    Best wishes for pongal thirunaal!

We had a super lunch yesterday of karunakizhangu kuzhumbu, pala moos kootu, sakaravali kizhangu curry, avarakkai curry, vazhaikai curry and of course, chakkarai pongal. Before you think I did all this - NO :) One of the house mates amma had come and she cooked all this!

I made kuzhi paniyaram and kaara chutney for tiffin! It came out too well, and we all loved it.

Today for lunch, bhindi and cabbage kootu. I plan to make thogyal and stock :)

Apple Cinammon milkshake for BF. Loving the magic bullet!

Your macro shots of khandvi are plainly evil. Enna idhu ellam, racing professionally done shots!

    Love,
    Arch

Pala kaai kootu - the one with jackfruit in its kai form. It was a pulipu kootu, and was very spicy.

    Dear Chitra mami

Wow your response is so quick and encouraging!!!

Mami... today i tried 7 kaikuzhambu.. it has come out delicious.Yesterday sarkarai pongal also turned out good. I made tamarind paste and three in one powder and started using it. I made molagaipodi with ellu and urd dal and omitted kadalaparuppu (which I do add normally) , the podi was dark and looked like what we get in Murugan Idli shop, it was good but somehow did not quite get that Murugan idli taste , maybe some ingredient is missing. Have u tasted PODI in the idli shop?

All of us in the family love to EAT and so it is fun trying out new recipes and I have become obsessed with all the stuff u have posted....

My husband is all praise for me and our family has become your fan!!!

My kids are browsing ur recipes and wants me try out smoothies next...

    Love
    Saipriya:wow:wow:clap
