Kutty, ya with a little one at home you are bound to have plenty of exercise. Will your in-laws be here for the delivery in Dec? I bought that changing station the other day; it was on sale, so I thought I might as well buy it now. I believe increasing weight in second and third is common right? So I guess you need not worry too much over weight gain. I forgot to tell you, my due date as it stands now is Dec11.

Vaasanti, so sorry to hear of the troubles you are now going through. Since bed rest has helped cam down the bleeding, try to rest up as much as you can. Usually people gain weight during bed rest. But I guess the loss of blood is not letting you put on any weight. But with two little ones, expect to see the weight gain soon. When I was young, I also used to bleed though the nose. Doc said it’s because of heat during summers. Did you try taking butter milk? If not, try that, hopefully that will help. But check with your mom once…some people say it give cold.
I am scheduled for the scan at 20weeks+6 days. I am meeting my doctor next week to get the requisition form. So have to wait until I book the appointment.

Padmini, yes, I am also suffering from back pain. My doctor said it’s common and that I should not worry. Easier said than done right? Actually I work in a bank. So most of the time its busy here. But these days, I am giving only my 70% to work. I am trying to take frequent breaks and all. Thankfully my managers are being considerate. If you are working, I suggest you also take frequent breaks. This is helping me. If you are home also, try to walk a little.
How about Advik as a name?

Divya, Yeah, yoga is supposed to help us a lot, especially if we are only aiming at natural deliveries. My doc said I can start yoga anytime after 12 weeks. So I started mine at 14 weeks. My sister in law joined in her 7th month and she was telling me that she regrets that she didn’t join sooner. So I started mine early.

A little about my yoga: It was a class of 8 and my yoga instructor specializes in prenatal yoga. She is also a birth instructor and I can request her to go with me to the hospital when I am in labor. This is my first ever lesson in Yoga and I didnt know what to expect. I just vowed to myself that I will just go with an open mind...yeah that should do it. And it did!
Our instructor was sweet spoken and gentle. She assured me that most women start yoga for the first time only after they fall pregnant and that I should not worry. I guess yoga is one thing which is safe to start amidst all those "don't do this and don't do that's" during pregnancy.
The lesson started and we were asked to just lie down or sit in any position we are comfortable. I just sat and closed my eyes. While the instructor started on some gentle breathing lessons, I could actually feel myself relax. After that some stretching started. I have been having severe shoulder aches and I tried to relax them. Some of the stretching really helped. It lasted for 1 full hour and I think I can easily say that I like it!
I booked for 10 sessions, once a week. Once that is done, I am planning on taking more.

Where are Ammani and radhu? Didnt see them for sometime.

When the placenta is expanding to accommodate the growing baby, it is common to experience this pain...this is what doctor told me. But if its severe, go to the hospital immediately Padmini.

Dear ladies, I am not sure how many of you have started shopping but I am thinking of staring (already started some) sometime very soon. I know its early but I feel that I can spread the expense better if I have 5 months to shop and it goes easier on my wallet instead of waiting till 8th month.

In case any of you are of the same opinion, here is the list I complied with the help of another thread in IL and also some suggestions from my friends and family. Please feel free to add your additions or suggestions.
