O....Thats bad.I hope you been to doc to get checked for any internal injuries.Back problems are terrible...once started ...never go..so better take care of yourself. This post was really touchy.I was feeling my self being there. When i was in india/Bangalore i was in same situation. 13kms would take me 2hrs.so many buses ....walking.Couldnt drive in this traffic. And i used to hate auto people.no respect for anyone. As everyone suggested start a carpooling and gradually learn driving(get rid of ur fear), get a vehicle. Its going to help you in maydays and in normal days. Too much drving everyday wont good for your back . Now i am worse...whereever i work in US,no good public transport. Last job would drive 50miles one side ,100miles round trip ...and in 1-2 months ..i started getting my knee pain because of contant pressure on accelator. (Too rushy for cruise-drive) Now new job started ,again 50-60miles, but in big city ,i was happy w have so many public transports....wont have to drive ..also parking/driving diffuclt....guess what.. i reach office in 2.30 hrs... so i end spending 5hrs on road and i started back ache with kneee ache.
I was reading this old post, since i searched for long commute...I am spending 4 hours every day in traffic, 2 hours up and 2 hours down I am totally depressed as a result. I recently changed my job, and very difficult to find a new one near my house.
