    I did SN for 30 mins last Saturday.
    Will continue to do without missing now onwards.:thumbsup

    i have been practicing suryanamaskar for several months now and it is a BOOOOON.

    I agree. I've incorporated surya namaskars to my workout regimen. I do about a 100 of them once a week now :)

    Hi Friends,

    I am joining in ur group...
    I do 12 rounds of SN per day...
    If i do someother asanas i will reduce it to 6 rounds...

    Suja (rightly said..it is a boon doing SN) Priyasaki ( you are right in reducing the count of SN, if any other activity is involved), Chinni (so you do atleast 14 a day..that's impressive)welcome all to this group .. and keep posting about your progress..:thumbsup

    Surya namaskar is the best which has all the body parts together in doing helps the body flexible, I make it a point to do atleast 2 everyday.

    the number of SN you do is appreciated.
    but one should strive to acheive perfection on each asana rather than the count.

    i'm not discouraging you but the best effect is when your posture, breathing and mantras are all perfected.

    pl try this,
    after every asana, after telling the mantra/ name of posture and before moving to the next asana relax your body muscles especially in the tummy and back. try it. u'll perspire like never before. for those who have not practised with mantra pl do it just before doing the next asana.

    ur focus will increase tremendously and the number of SNs u can do will initially go down. but no problem. effectiveness per SN is very very important than number.

    i'm sure long time SN practicing ILites will agree with me.

    I agree. Breathing and posture are of utmost importance while doing any kind of exercise, for that matter. You mess up the posture, you'll probably twist a muscle wrong.

    Focus on breathing and posture people!

    Suja and Chinni very good pointers to do SN in a right way! I also heard that for every posture..they say to count to 20 and then proceed to the next posture..
    Will definitely remember the pointers and do the same :)
