HI IL ites, i was born and raised in triplicane, got married to a mylapore nadu st guy, now i live in nj, As u guys say mylapore and triplicane have nostalgic memories for me, still my parents live in triplicane and my inlaws in mylapore, kapali kovil and sai baba i never miss them when i go to india, any body from triplicane also! Anybody tasted food from jannal kadai awesome food, i really enjoy this discussion
Re: ILites from Triplicane hi i can consider myself as triplicane wasi as well as mylapore one, my moms place is triplicane still now and inlaws r in mylapore, but i live somewhere so peaceful to visit big street pillayar without him my day was never completed in triplicane still now whenever i go.

Appreciationg the ilate who created this thread unfortunatley i am not in chennai. now, when i was newly married i entered tamilnadu chennai in maylapore i was searching for friends literaaly died to meet friends but no luck in my life as usaul i did not find anyone, by god grace i am in usa now. but so happy to see this thread longlive to this thread so that when i come back i can meet some of you atleast. i used stay in alwarpet.liek vasumathy garu ia m big fan of kapaleeswar temple used to go 3 times a week spend hours together. waiting for god blessings. and yelama temple whihc is back side of alwarpet c.vramanroad. its is my luckiest templein all matters but not in pregnanacy matter. but i say so powerful amma. i love chennai temples a lot i like to spend hours in tmeples. but later my mil doubted on me continuoysl going to temples. oh my god it was a very bad story apart of temples i hate my life spent in mil house. sory as i saw this thread i am so happy and teling all my 4months life here. good to see you here. hi to all... enjoy kapaleswar temple i love thatemple there is brahmotsav in this march 17th .please do go there. i distubuted usa choclates and make a wish i should stay in usa from these people from that time i am inusa...i distubuted in 2009 march. till now i am in usa. but no luck in pregannacy. i believe in that god a lot. from that time i am sending usa choclates evry year. this year i am late yesterday only i posted so worried whether it goes on time or not. there is wonderfulpark nageswar park.good for walkign and spending time in that big park u get friends too. but i dont know tamil as i am telugite not good at english .so did not find friedns. sorry for long post.................
Re: ILites from Triplicane ex-triplicane vassi lived in tp koil street, behind parathasarthy temple...I guess gandhi bookhouse is still there, next to it butter shop is there, near that only i lived...studied in Hindu senior till 8th.. loved oothukulli butter milk shop...i hope it is still there? Oh, how I miss the pakodas, the beach, the temples, the pycrofts rd (happening place), bus stop kadai (I buy an ear ring from there every week for 10rs!), aaradhana hotel, 13B bus, sudha fancy, guru sweets.. the list is endless!!! Viji - I too studied in Hindu senior till 10th.. passed out 10th in 2000...

hi raga, arubathu moovar is a function in kapaleeshwarar temple during the tamil month panguni the main deities karpagambal and kapaleshwarar were done various alankarams and brought in in the ther (chariot). some one has posted the pictures of 63var 2011 in some other thread. mylapore members clear me if i have answered correctly since i have attended this festival just once.
