    Thanks all of you!

    @ ooviya...I am new to Chennai so I know of only 1 shop in Sowcarpet that I went to to pick up the beads. The shop's name is SunCity. Its a tiny shop on the first floor, near the Flowers Police Station. You can google for the address and phone number.
    You can pick up all the material from Suncity, wires, pliers, hooks, screws, stoppers etc. Those are reasonably priced.
    FYI...the shop is quite expensive for beads altho' he claims to be a wholesaler. And he sells some of the stuff only in bulk eg wooden beads, so you can't pick up just a few for personal use.
    I am yet to visit this shop called Oswal Traders in Parry's which I heard has variety and is easy on the pocket as well. Once I've been there I'll let you know about it as well.
