Is this symptom of PCOS??

    IL'S here who have knowledge with PCOS pls help me!!!

    I have long cycles a 40 day cycle.It got long once we started ttc.I always have doubt whether it could be PCOS.but my doctor says you must skip periods for months .BTW i had a ultrasond last week and no cysts were found.I had a blood test for thyroid and the reslts were normal.

    But i do not know what is causing long periods.I ovulate at CD 27.I started taking vitex.What else should i do..Pls help

    A long cycle doesnt mean PCOS. Period.

    Long cycle means, long cycle. It is not rule of book that period cycle needs to be 28 days. It is just so generally. That is all. Few have it longer, few have it shorter even.

    Unless there are evidences of cysts, blood work showing hormonal issues or physical changes, there is no PCOS. Just calculate your ovulation according to the present cycle or use an ovulation kit. Best Luck.

    Even I dont think u have PCOS..You are getting periods in 40days and its normal only .If u have PCOS atleast there is an imbalance in hormones.So dont get worry ..

    I had normal hormone levels. doc said i could have PCOS.
    I am also not able to figure out if i have pcos or not.
    But i have missed periods and cycle is very irregular.45 days to 2 months

    Hi ,

    This might be small help to you.I am having the same problem ,the reason for my problem is over weight and I am not sure if you are the same if so please reduce ur wieght and every thing should be fine.

    Thank you niru !!!! Im exercising regularly thinking that it might be the problem.Im little bit overweight.It all started after i started exercicing.But still im working out....

    Vitex is actually good, it bought my ovulation from CD 27 to CD 24. Are you planning to take vitex?
