    no shinim. i have not seen making idli with cloth...but i will definitely try to make puttu like you said.
    keep posting healthy recipes of barley/bajra/wheat/ragi. or any other grain you may introduce us to.

    hi baby,

    in olden days they spread white cloth on the idli plate then they pour idlli batter on it.

    oh! is it! never even heard of it.
    i have seen making idli in the container made of mango leaves.

    hi shinim,
    today i made puttu the way you said.
    i put the puttu powder on the cloth and then wrapped it. then i steamed it along with idlis in the idli cooker. my idlis and puttu, both came out ready to eat. it came out really good. thanks for giving me the idea, dear. thank you.
