Garlic " grows on you " gradually ! In many houses garlic rasam ( in my daughter's & son's inclusive) is a weekly favourite. I love it too, but I am married to a jain !

Yes, you can use pumpkin - but the creamy taste of lauki will be " slightly" lacking !
Make it up by adding little more khoa.

Chitra, tonight I will make siruvengaya sadam and tell you. Picture is so nice. But you have put photo of big vengayam, what should I use? Only early morning, when you post two recipes and two slokams, the day is good. I pray God, Chitra must never slow. I miss more posts like past days. For tiffin will make Chettinad sweet paniyaram today. The Chettinad avial was with all veegtables and thengai paal instead of mor.

The picture shows only chinna vengayam - they are in clusters of 2 & 3. So probably it looks like periya vengayam.
When I have friends like you, Vidya ready to grab my reipes, I assure, I do not want to slow down definitely ! I have started posting 2 recipes per day again ! Very sweet of you, Jana !

Dear Mrs Chithra,

Just made rava/maida paniyaram and it came out very well. I am usually jinxed with appam, athirasam, paniyaram etc- but now with your recipes, my luck has turned.

I will have guests from Friday, so am making a few dishes by your recipes in advance. Already have made idli, rava idli, paniyaram, badam barfi and besan laddoo. Also maavu for kal dosai and kozhakattai. It is not a tension to have guests since your recipes are fool proof and success is sure.

Had Kichidi and khadi now, great combination i must say....and my friends are after me for the moussaka demo and mysore pak!
