    Can please someone post the draft to cut a anarkali dress suit....also please let me know how many metres of cloth do we need?

    Hi,

    Can anybody post detals of Anarkali Dress Cutting & Stitching Pattern.
    This has been referred in varous threads and the responses for it had just the Normal Salwar Kameez patterns.

    please see my thread-my first attempt of anarkali.i have posted the draft.otherwise u will get it frm the sewing stitching section itself.i also got it frm der.but u have to search page by page.

    Hi Ladies,

    Please clear my doubts. How is an umbrella cut kamiz? Can someone please post the cutting draft?

    I do have an idea about Anarkali pattern and got the cutting draft for it. Are they both the same?

    Also, is umbrella cut like Anarkali dress except that the flare starts from waist instead from the bottom of the chest?

    Anarkali salwar top has two portions, bodice portion and skirt portion.It is figure-hugging till the upper torso and below that, it turns into a frock and gets a lot of flare.Length of the bodice will be up to lower border of the ribcage . Anarkali suits are worn with churidars .Length of the bodice depends upon the one"s taste also.You can use the same draft changing the length of the bodice.See in the last image the body length has come up to waist line.I have seen Many dresses with "A" line skirt under the name of Anarkali salwar top.fashion goes on changing.If you want draft for the dress it is in http://artvani-vani.blogspot.com/2010/01/anarkali-salwar-set-top.html
