Anyone knows how to make Kaya podi (raw banana powder) for porridge?

    I've heard kaya (raw banana) in porridge form is good for the baby. I was hoping to make some since its summer but dont know the process. Can anyone please tell me how to make it?

    I too would be happy if someone gives idea on this...according to my knowledge I have seen readymade banan powders in shops.. seen in nilgris, chennai.Sure they would have given instructions ,hope this would help u to an extent.

    Hi,
    My mom and MIL used to prepare this for my son. From what I know about their method, shall try to give an idea here..
    -Raw plantains are selected, peeled and soaked in water for some time (1 hour or so)
    -They are then sliced into thin round pieces and sun-dried. (it took 2 days)
    -It is then powdered and sieved to remove those black seeds (which is said to cause indigestion) and stored.
    Hope the method is clear. Though simple, it requires some patience right?!!
