twins in womb with one baby dead inside

    Hi, everybody.My friend is pregnant after a long time and lots of trails and treatment.by the end of two months the twins were fine.when she went for checkup,on the next fifteenth day,the octors found that,one baby is fine but there is no heart beat in the other.The doctor says not to worry,the dead baby can be removed at the time of delivery.Do any of you know anything about such cases?please guide me.:bowdown

    HI Pashni,
    Sorry to hear about to friends condition. I have heard this kind from my friend. His wife had twins & after few months of pregnancy, there was no growth for one child & other one was fine. She delivered the child after nine months & the kid is 2 years old now.

    Ask your friend not to worry & do what her doctor suggests. Ask her to take rest & eat healthy.

    Please ask your friend to take care of the other......and don't go in depression.
    She should feel happy that after long trails, she is getting a baby and its just god's grace.

    Pashni , Ask your friend not to worry .The other baby will be born completely healthy .
    If its still early ,the baby without heartbeat will shrink & get reabsorbed by the body .In some cases the baby is delivered when the other is born .( was told by a gyn) .

    HI pashini...
    One of friend had the smilar problem... when she carrying it was twins... only one baby was alive and dr's saved the one baby till 9 months and she delivered the safely... now the baby is 3 yrs old... she delivered in chennai only... till then the other baby was in the womb only... it was really a miracle only for this modern science... even my friend conceived after so many miscarriages... so ask your friend to follow dr's advice...

    thank you for this information.my friend will be happy to know that her case is not alone.and drs in chennai are doing this fantastic job.thanks again for sharing your friends experience.
