hi rumanair... here is the veg version of the kanji... 1 glass raw rice 1 hand full moong dal 2 onions 1/4 carrot chopped 1 green chilli 5 garlic flakes 1 each (clove, cinnamon) pudina leaves 1 handful 1/2 glass thick coconut millk ( or 5-6 spoon coconut milk powder) slightly fry the moong dal. then grind rice and moong dal as rava (better than rava proportion) soak it in water and keep this aside... In a pressure cooker add 1 spoon oil, add clove and cinnamon, chilli, garlic, then onions... fry slightly.. (dont fry too much color shud be white)... now add the soaked rice and dal fry slightly.. you can add 3-4 glass of water... add the chopped carrot , pudina leaves, salt... give pressure.. atleast 3-4 whistle... once the pressure is down... add coconut milk...
