where to Buy Half saree ( davani) in chennai

    dear friends..
    am from bangalore.. and I come to chennai quite often.. but I don't know where I can get good Half sarees ( Traditonal ones) infact the latest one which has the chuni with zari border. ... different colours.. pls. help me in finding this.. am planning to come to chennai this month end..

    hi,
    u can get this Dhvani anywhere in Mambalam. u can try in Nalli's, R.M.KV, Chennai silks. In my opinion Nalli's is the best.

    There is a shop OPPOSITE to C.P.Arts centre in Eldams Road.This is in the complex bang opposite to it.They have good dhavani's .Check it out.

    I think you mean Viba.
    Meena,
    You can check out Nalli, the one opp Panagal Park for good collections.
    Also Usha's at Nungambakkam has a wide range. Hope you find what you want.

    Go to Raasi, RMKv, Pothy;s Kumaran or most of the shops at Mambalam Pondy bazaar areas

    The price depends upon what type you are looking for. Very simple cotton ones starts from Rs. 100/. Designs and with borders costs more. If you are looking for silk dhavanis the starting price is 350/. Dont go for cheaper varities. They tend to shrink.
