    Dear Vidhya,

Thanks a lot for sharing such a wonderful and effective slokam. May God bless you and your family with all you deserve. I want to do this pooja from coming Tuesday, before doing let me clear my doubts, can I do this pooja in the night time around 8pm at home, that is the convenient time for me during the weeks days and holiday time morning i can do.

Is there any restriction that for continous 12 days at the same time this pooja should be done and time is not a restriction?????? Please advise I will do accordingly.

    Regards,

    Bhuvan

    Bhuvan,

Thank you so much for your good wishes. I feel humbled that someone is interested in what I have to say.

I am typically a late Lateefa person, my poojas get shifted from mroning to evening etc. But in all poojas for Ganapathy, it is always best to do it in the morning. I did this pooja all times, in the morning. An elderly priest in the Ganapathy temple near my house, once advised me, that for Ganapathy, it is better to do slokams and poojas early, always before 12pm. Ofcourse, we can chant Ganesha slokams in the evening, but this pooja should be done in the morning.

I am just wondering- can you shift some chore from the morning to 8pm(when you wanted to do this pooja), and accommodate this in the morning? Though you need 12 chantings, it will be over in about 15 minutes (lighting lamp, 12 chants, naivedyam etc). Can you try to do it anytime in the morning from 4.30am before you go to work? And if done at that time, sunrise, all Ganapathy poojas will become most effective.

Goodluck! I am sure Ganesha will make it possible for you to do the pooja at the right time.

    Vidhya,

I'm so thankful to you buddy. and my questions don't stop..

So, is this also a 12 continous days puja ?

Can both the earlier mentioned and this puja be combined and done together?..meaning - done one after the other?

Your idea of offering a arugampul garland is a good one..

Only the thought of wanting to perform these daily puja giving me a lot of hope and confidence..

    Thanks ya!

    -Shilpa.

    Shilpa,

I am glad that the very thought of doing the poojas gives you confidence. During the Kethu Dasai we endured, there were times when I was unable to do any of these poojas that I advise around. I just used to think of MAhaGanapathy. Even that would give such solace.Such is the Grace of MahaGanapathy.

Regarding the Karya Siddhi Kolam and slokam- thanks for asking these questions. I should have addressed them earlier.

The Kethu Dasai pariharam and the Karya Siddhi Ganapathy Kolam poojai are not correlated. You can do them separately at different times. Or can choose to do them combined.

The Karya Siddhi Slokam is usually done continuously till the desire is attained. Maybe it will take three months or even a year. In between, breaks like periods, even other breaks like work pressure etc are acceptable.

However, when I did the Karya Siddhi Poojai, I made a mental sankalpam that I would do it for a particular time like 12 days or 21 days. This was more to accommodate my schedule and psyche. I would choose a span of time and do this. Stop, even if desire is not attained. Then restart later.

Of course, the most effective is to start doing it.Maybe stick to a convenient prayer format that we chant the two line slokam 1 or 5 or 12 times a day. Then continue doing it regularly till desire is attained.

And then, Ganapathy favours even the not so regular ones like myself. So, do the poojai at peace.

Goodluck! You will feel the Grace of MahaGanapathy as you start these.

    Dear Raji,

Thank you so much for this new pooja. I will definitely do this and give you a feedback. Am going thru a lot in life now and need some serious blessings from Ganapathy.

So, this is what I understand.

I should do this poojai between 4am and 5am for three consecutive days.

Place Ganapthy on a wooden board with two lamps on both sides.

Chant slokam and do 11 pradakshinams.

    Offer fruit naivedyam.

    My questions are :

    1) Vinayagar- picture or small idol?

    2) Which is the slokam to be chanted?

God willing, will surely do this and give a fb here.God bless you!

    Dear all,

Let me share my thoughts also here. In one magazine I had read that if one shloka is recited for 21 days continously, Ganpathy will give his Darshan. (chanting to be done 1st thing in the morning, after brushing your teeth. PL do not worry whether taking bath and all. Just have simple faith). I will tell the miracle happened with me. The day I started, in the evening my uncle who had come down from south, gave me a small idol of "Bappa Morya". ofcourse, he did not know that I am reciting this shloka. Infact he had gone for his office meeting. His office colleague gave him and in turn my uncle gave me the idol. Tears started rolling down from my eyes. Can you all beleive that within 21 days, I got 3 Ganpathi idols. Even now everyday after brushing my teeth, 1st thing I do is that to chant that Shloka and start doing my routine work. Happily and Merryly my days are going. Will write the shloka tomorrow as i am writing this from the office and shloka is at my home.

    Blessings to all

    Shashu
