sorry for not being able to reply to your before.

i am happy that you have got the song. The whole cassette is a treat to your bhakti, bho sambho in revathi is another must not to say that the rest are not...

i think it is available by inreco.. some of the 90's audio's have been sold to hmv, and others...so you have to search more.... or just wait for a mp3 with the best of the artist...that is what i see happening of late.

sangeetha audios used to come out with some very good ones,but i think they were sold.

It is nice to know about another passionate cm lover. if i do mistakes do point out, as i am still learning that too kelvi gnanam...only...

Good to hear from you. What is the title of the CD or mp3 with Swamy Dayananda's compositions rendered by Maharajapuram Santhanam? Have you converted this one? I must comb the music stores for this one, it is an absolute 'must have' for my collection.

I am fortunate my family is into CM and my dear DIL has a lovely singing voice, she learnt CM for 10 or 12 years as a schoolgirl but had to give up... I am pushing her to resume her lessons. Mine is also kelvi gnanam only, as my athai was a professional CM singer and my periammas were proficient in music, they used to sing all the time. So the melodies and sangathis are in my mind, I am trying to vocalise them, I think it is OK 'hearable', my DH does not say "Porume, apparum padalame"! Anyway, I am learning in a group of trained singers and we also sing as a group, so the 'concerts' are appreciated..!!

Please let me know of some of your favourite compositions/musicians, would love that.

Maharajapuram's this particular cassette was released as a cassette in the 90's and the cd also has come out in 2004. BHAJANS OF SWAMI DAYANAND SARASWATHI by Vani. if you could check it at landmark, carnatic book house if not even at the arsha vidya where you get the audio, books of swami.

I will check if i have all the songs in my hard disk. I have the bho sambho and madura madura. ramam baje i have to check it.

Regarding my involvment into CM, i have written so much about it in my blog.
if i write any more about that it will be like digging my own trapBig LaughBig Laugh...

I love music in any form. My son and daughter are learning CM and daughter is learning keyboard western. FIL sings bajans.

I love Papanasam Sivan, Gopalakrishna Bharatiar, Bharathi, tyagayya, annamayya, thooran.. I love most of the composers.

Musicians I like all each has a style.

My teacher has promised to teach us the Navavarna krithis of Muthuswami Dikshithar and I just cannot wait...
