    Firstly Happy Ugadi @Viswamitra sir.
    Thanks for the response

I have never tasted neem rasam. Will try it next time when I get neem flowers.

I think the thought of tying mango leaves itself is a sweet emotion. I have lots of fond memories associated with it

:hello:Very nostalgic and eyes turn moist as reading the post transported me to the days when with my sister I used to lend helping hand in similar fashion during April 14th When we celebrate TAMIL NEW YEAR’s DAY.*

    2. Yes almost in every Tamilian home too akin to obituu , Kozha kattai (modhak)
Would be made by a tedious process . Mom prepare a small quantity of it in two varieties one salty and other sweet. Obittu is somewhat equivalent to BOLI Of south India made sweet or and savour using either kalla paruppu Bengal gram! Wheat flour.
    3. I join mom & sister in making the case and then stuffing it with Poornam to shape.

    4. A simple lucid yet vivid narration of a traditional festival deserves accolades and win for sure, approbations from FELLOW IL’ites who too experienced the nostalgia.

    5. My belated Ugadi to all members of your family & you and to all those IL’ites who celebrates this festival.

    Thanks and Regards.
God bless us all as he enjoys Neivedyam of obittu & kozha kattai.

CORONA’s Virulence is expected to begin on April 12 (Easter) Or on April 14th.

My mom makes it with bengal gram poornam/coconut with wheat flour too. When she used to make it in childhood, she used to make it so often that I used to not like it at all. But now it's a different story, with all low carb crap diets and portion control plus my own disastrous attempts to make decent Obbattus, I really appreciate her culinary skills and I crave for those dishes. I want to hug her right now but she is in Bengaluru with my father in our house. And I really love the Bengaluru style Obbattu a lot (kai Obbattu etc). I love her Mysore pak too (I used to hate both of them in childhood, now I relish them). The temple puliyodarai was heavenly back in my childhood.

:hello:This is very interesting . This statement demonstrates your creativity no less. I simply love reading it several times. My thought used to go around like this often especially during festival time at home.

These lines brought the festival spirit in the company of family near & dear
    thanks and Regards.

:hello:Thanks for quoting my lines In your FB.

    2. It is said often that by the time a person realises dad & mom we’re always “Right”, he or she got a child beginning to tell parents were or are “wrong”.
    Regards.
GOD - is aesthetics in times of festival.
