    @iyerviji
    My dear Viji
    Thanks a lot for your second nomination of @nuss 's Marriage- The Good, The Bad, (and Nothing Ugly)! Thank you @jayasala42 for seconding it.
    I have always admired nuss for her narrative style. This one can be rated as one of her best. As I was reading her post, I remembered the essence of the Saptapathi which is the crowning glory of Hindu marriage ritual. It goes like this:
    "After crossing seven steps with me thus, you should become my friend. I, too, have become your friend now. I will never discord this friendship and you should not also do that. Let us be together always. Let us resolve to do things in life in the same manner and tread the same path. Let us lead a life by liking and loving each other, having good heart and thoughts, and enjoying the food and our strong points together. Let us have undivided opinions. We will perform the vrithas united. Let us have same and joint desires. I will be Sama (one of the vedas); you will be Rig (another Veda). Let me be the Heaven; you be the Earth. Let me be the Shukla (Moon) and you be its wearer. "
    At the time of my wedding, I chanted these words mechanically. Now that I have completed 52 years of my married life, I understand the Mantra I chanted very clearly now.
    ness has received around 25 Likes. They are all for her clear thought process, narrative style and language. I too have joined the Likes gang!

    @Amulet
    Thank you for your nomination of @jayasala42 's Who Takes Care? Whom?
    What a traumatic experience that jayasala has gone through! This is not a post where we sit back and exclaim 'What a beautiful narrative!' This narration causes a lump in our throat. jayasala had been through greater crisis when her husband suffered a more serious accident and had to be confined to bed for months. I do not know jayasala personally nor have I interacted with her but I have realised that she is a steely woman who can face any situation eyeball to eyeball.
    I totally agree!

    Dear @Balajee,

    Thank you for nominating my post and I have always appreciated your words. You I just realized that I must have taught myself to look at everyday moments in a positive light - not that I don't have my down days. Thankfully one good moment gives me a breath of fresh air and I can see all blue skies and rainbows even in this gray feb month. We have to keep ourselves amused too no? This morning for the fist time in three/four moths, I heard the chirping and I honestly have to say, I felt so happy!

    Thank you again!

    :hello: Dear @Cheeniya Sir,
    I read the post of @Agatha83 in the link below with great alacrity and enthusiasm. It could be because, many IL ITES of her age WOULD easily relate to their own status and their kith & kin. Though long, yet the post embraces all aspect of “old age” living. I commend the language and meticulous details covered in it. God bless her husband and her.

    Our Old Age Home

    NOMINATED FOR BOTH THE CATEGORIES
    (1) best narration

    (2) best post
    FOR MONTH FEBRUARY 2020.
    Regards.

    @Balajee
    Thanks again for your second nomination of @jayasala42 's response to the thread of Viswa
    That's a wonderful response by jayasala. She has dug deeper into the original post and come out with veritable gems.
    She takes lots of pains to pursue the subject and make her post highly educative.
    Incidentally I do not understand the need for such mixed sizes of fonts unless she wants to quote a passage in her response. That will make her responses tidy

    @Balajee
    Thanks a lot for your third nomination of @Srama 's Share Away, Now!
    Sabi never ceases to amaze me. Take her opening statement for instance:
    This is so universally true and I have myself experienced it often. But in making it a statement, we can't beat Sabi.
    In passing, she says
    You don't know me Sabi. Nothing makes this Walter Matthew that is me ever smile!
    Balajee, you may have no idea of what a Sabi fan I am!

    Dear @Thyagarajan,

    I am surprised to find my write up being nominated by you. My English though it belongs to the Mathrubootham’s category of humor appearing in the Sunday edition of Hindu, the appreciation coming from an erudite veteran like you, has sent my sagging spirits soaring! Thank you very much.

    Hi @Balajee

    Thank you for nominating my thread to the finest. Your comments made me feel good because you are a prolific writer yourself.

    Dear Cheeniya Sir,

    Well, what can I say? I feel humbled.
