Past few years ,I tried all type of diet and exercise. Once I stop it,I gained my weight back. So I planning to follow something as it is part of my lifestyle. Trying intermittent fasting. Last year I tried keto with intermittent fasting and lost weight but gained weight back ,so this time I am planning to try intermittent fasting alone. I am trying 16:8 fasting. 16 hour fast and 8 hr eat. I eat my last meal at 6.30 pm and next meal at 11 am next day. I am doing it from Jan 27.

I would like to join. I am also planning to start IF for a long time. Couldn't get a chance to try it. I always start dieting and leave it after few days. Continuity is very difficult. It's good to have some motivation around to cheer us up.
I will start doing it. Let's motivate each other and reach our do goals.
    Good luck!!

I am in. Started with baby steps. My usual end of dinner to start of breakfast interval was 11 hrs. Made it 13 hrs in 1/2 hr steps, and that plus avoiding unnecessary snacks, for about 7-10 days has made a difference already.

I might not post regularly but will pop in whenever I need to confess and do better. Current goal is to get to 15 hours.

I am already doing this for sometime.
Haven't lost much weight but I am continuing because it makes me feel light and less bloated.

Initial one month was a struggle but now it is pretty easy to follow.

That belief that it takes about a month for a habit to set it is so true for IF.

I also cheat with a proper cup of chai in the morning and I do not follow this while travelling or visiting someone.

I do the same but now I have realised that it is better to start again whenever you realise than give up completely.Just start again the next morning without feeling too much guilt.

Even I was doing keto with IF last year and lost weight. But after that I gained back more than I lost.

Recently started IF 16:8 but my problem is I’m waking up around 3am - 5am instead of 7am.God knows why .

I was not at all a morning person even during exams but I would stay late until 3am.
I’m not sure if it’s due to IF, I want a good sleep :( Not sure where I’m going wrong

I have long stretches of no eating, especially when the other half is on business travel and I don't feel like cooking, or much else. However, when I am on such breaks, I eat roasted almonds, invite a friend, watch TV, get silly, and do not count calories.

Obviously the blame goes where it should belong.

    Hi,
Just check your intake in eating period. Don’t starve. Take nuts, fruits in that period. If you take 1200 calorie per day. You should have that 1200 calorie food in that 8 hr period. Take three meals in that period. When do you have your last meal? When I was in diet I used to have salad or fruits or keto food for dinner (which is very less than my average food for dinner) I will hungry before I sleep and lacksound sleep. But now I have three dosa or 4 idli in night( I take time to eat, chew well and eat slowly) at 6.30 pm. Till next morning 9 I don’t feel hungry but after that I slightly feel hungry( as it is only 2 week habit) I have lots of water or have one black coffee at 10 am (my first meal will b at 11 am).
have good quantity of food(lots of veggies) in eating period.

Sure. I like to reduce at least 7 kg in 4 months for my India visit. We don’t have to post our meals here instead just enter daily whether we did IF daily.
