    My first nomination for the last month of the year is this post by @hermitcrab

    http://indusladies.com/community/threads/need-an-advice.309595/page-7#post-4167549

    It starts off with:
    "...
    Have you seen the sculptures of women in old Indian heritage sights? None of them are size zero. Even if you are skinny, he might say he wanted someone like those temple sculptures, voluptuous."

    and ends with:
    "Madonna reinvented herself so many times, you can too! Happy positive transformations!"

    but it is the 25 practical steps in the middle of the post that got my attention. One of the best lists I have seen in a while.

    @Greenbay
    Thank you for your nomination of @iyerviji 's Happiness In Life
    This is a typical musing of Viji and her wisdom comes through every word that she writes.
    This reminds me of a quote of Groucho Marx- 'Those are my principles, and if you don't like them...well I have others'
    Way to go, you know! People with such practical wisdom can hardly be a failure in life.
    The phrase 'because of which' is a bit subjective. We do not enjoy the blessings of our elders because we did something for them in the past. Those blessings are unconditional.
    Posts like these have made Viji a mentor for a number of young members in IL.

    Dear Cheeniya,
    Thanks for your good wishes.When a blood thinner did not agree and it resulted intestinal bleeding,I asked the Doctor to change the medicine.The Doctor said that the change may result in 5-10% heart attack.I replied that I grew up in Chola kingdom area and the cardinal rule for warrior was to die with arrow in the chest and not on the back-more so w on the colonoscopy table.Regards

    @Greenbay
    Thank you for your nomination of Post Number 2242 by @Gauri03 in the thread Gabfest: And Thereby Hangs A Tail started by my alter ego :blush:.
    To tell you the truth, Gauri is a writer who I admire a lot but hardly interact with. It is like giving a Bhashya to an Upanishad. Take this nomination of yours with your quote of her concluding para. It is absolutely Maya Angelou stuff.

    @Rihana
    Thanks a lot for your nomination of Post 61 by @hermitcrab in the thread

    Awesome post really!The OP should have no doubt at all about what she should do after reading this post by hermitcrab. I am fascinated by the twenty odd suggestions that she has given to the OP to enliven her troubled life.
    That's the best part of the whole post! I am a great admirer of Madonna and this sentence made me grin from ear to ear!

    @iyerviji
    My dear Viji
    Thanks a lot for your nomination of @kkrish 's "you Must Be A Spoiled ...!" From The Heart Of An Only Child.
    To use the famous words of our Late Kamalji, it's a post that only kkrish can write. As is my wont, I started reading her post from the end and i was truly struck by her
    She has substantiated it with three lovely quotes from Busting the “Only Child” Myths — The Chaotic Commute.
    To the people who tend to think that a single child is prone to be a waster, I can give examples of many a single child who became truly noteworthy in life. I fished out this list of some great single children from the net.
    Do you know that world's first siblings were the sons of Adam and Eve and one of them killed his own brother?
