In my Opinion not worth... your instant pot with vitamix will do the same job.

Only if you want to avoid using a hand blender or transferring contents from pot to vitamix and back and save few minutes and washing

I saw the Philips soup maker ad on YouTube and I am sold. I am going to get it, once I have more counter space :)
I do not have Vitamix or Instant Pot though. I use my desi pressure cooker and lil blender.
I find too many gadgets clutter the kitchen.

Depends. How often do you make soup? If it's pretty much every day, this might be worthwhile. I make soup most days and am happy using an IP and an immersion blender.

Meanwhile, even though I own an IP, I definitely need all of these.

Once I have more counter space, I will....
..........[there could be a long list of things].

From the descriptions of the philips gadget, it looks like it is a thing for those who have no hand-blender to make purees in situ.

The soup maker sounds like a joke if you already have a well-equipped kitchen. I saw it on my Williams Sonoma FB feed and had to check that the date was not April 1.

I had been eyeing the amazon-dot-com offering of a cooktop-cover, the 21" by 29" size. This is simply a counter-top that one can put on top of the burners(when the burners are not in use), and use the space to do whatever, like seat an electrical appliance that needs the range-hood fan ON, while it does its thing. Like a non-fryer, or a coffee-roaster, or whatever that emits cooking odours.

If one were to get a soup maker, and not have any place to put it on the counter, a cooktop-cover could be a consideration to increase the workspace on the counter.

I have a long list of things to get, when the counter space is unlimited. But the thing is, I love soup- both desi Chinese kinds and hearty American kinds and every kind in between. But I hate to work with hot mixture with hand blender and open top, doesn't the hot mixture get everywhere?
Also, IP is too big an instrument for me to handle. With the counter height in US + the IP, I will have to get a ladder to look into it. I am average desi woman, 5 + feet, but I like low profile cooking utensils.
Soup maker looked very handy, neat and easy to put away, it looked like a tea kettle, very less learning curve. I am so going to buy it. Still on fence with IP

    : ) Actually yes, after some re-org.

I keep very few things on the counter. No spice-rack, knife stand, fruit stand/bowl, jar to hold spoons. The main kitchen counter has only the oil dispenser, small toaster and dish-rack with the dish-rack stowed away behind the sink (bay window space).
