    Rih, the A+ was for the post :) short and crisp and captured the essence.

    not for “appropriate participation”, that A+ she will get only when she stops living here :) Right now she is living here at godly/ungodly hours lol and someone needs to drag her into the real life world from online world :tongueclosed:

    J/K i am sure her kiddo drags her into the real world with her cuteness :blush:

    As long as everyone present is following the ' lets show our true self' policy.

    Unfortunately that would mean many people who would otherwise be compatible ,would not get married....such being arranged marriage norm.

    Imagine me wearing jeans or back less choli on the first meeting and the mil calling me naked woman in hindi and then me bringing the roof down and the meeting ending in a huff.:rolleyes:

    I would have missed out on a lovely husband and my husband would have missed out on a lovely me.

    How was any one to know that hubby darling loves the backless cholis( even in front of mil:yum:) and finds jeans most practical.

    Unfortunately arranged marriage match making doesn't cater to these little things that matter. Keeping in laws comfortable is more important.:)

    I think if the grown children in the family are wearing shorts,no one should feel uncomfortable by dil wearing shorts as long as things are well confined in the shorts.
    Sometimes saree or tight fitting kurtas reveal more than the shorts.

    So true. DILs should sacrifice even their dressing style for the sake of their Inlaws.
    Forget shorts some people won’t even approve their DILs wearing Jeans even if husband is fine with it :rage:
    And they won’t even approve night dress for DIL’s, only allowed is nighties. I hate wearing nighties!!!

    Obviously in-laws would reject the ultra posh bahu. They want fully covered traditional bahus who should either wear salwars or sarees

    Can you believe if I told that once I wore night dress and I was about to go downstairs where in-laws stay to get something. My DH dint let me go because I wore night pants ( full length) and shirt and I’m like :rage::rage::rage:
    Also I’m not used to wearing nighties and I hate wearing them :rage::sweat:
    Although I don’t wear shorts in front of in-laws but atleast I don’t understand what’s wrong in wearing full length pants
    ?? :imp::imp:
