I purchased light cotton fabric to embroider Phulkari. It is roughly 8 feet by 4 feet.

How would you personally transfer pattern onto this stole? I watched YouTUBE video (cannot find it) where person has stamp of pattern, and stamps the stole before giving it to the village ladies to embroider.

I can painstakingly draw the same pattern over and over again with tailor chalk.

Please tell me a simpler way to trace pattern.

    Hi
While doing aari/maggam work , i trace the pattern
Using tracing paper and with carbon paper in between the fabric and tracing paper ,i transfer it to the fabric. BTW i use white carbon sheets if the fabric is of dark shade.
