Errrrr - ahem @Cheeniya! English speakers borrowed bonhomie from the French, where the word was created from bonhomme, which means "good-natured man" and is itself a composite of two other French words: bon, meaning "good," and homme, meaning "man." (Merriam-Webster) Gasp! Repair to the Drones, @Balajee, and forthwith! No noisy auntie calling auntie like mastodons bellowing across primeval swamps there! PS: S asserts humor privileges. The Drones is a fictional gentlemen's club in the Wodehouse universe; the reference to the aunts is a quote. And I do know that the word 'bonhomie' applies to women as well, what with their being human 'n all.
Thanks @sokanasanah I never knew that bonhomie is purely and basically a man's attribute. Time they coined a word for a good woman.
Just pulling your leg @Cheeniya! Althogh the etymology is from 'homme' it is equally applicable to women.
Dear sir, Thank you for this message. I'm very much here quite active on a few threads. Last when I did the math many months ago I was somewhere in 2.56 range. I'm glad it's 3 now . I'm happy that I am not the only one who did this math and you are with me on this . And no no these likes and all are not important. Isn't it.? It doesn't matter. Yes sometime during last Navrathri I joined IL and I'm glad I'm finishing one year and gearing up for next Navrathri season. Thank you and have a beautiful day. Regards, Anusha.

This made me nostalgic. 2. In 1960 summer holidays @ island grounds little of The Hindu news paper office, Chandrika soap put up a stall and the regional rep being my dad’s friend desired my dad to send some assistant to work in stall for later half of the day. 3. My dad told me to help. From Triplicane for about a month Daily I used to through Rajaji hall estate and worked there. The stall was kept busy with my addressing the public with soap message in tamil . I was repeating loudly over the loudspeaker Chandrika Chandrika three four times modulating the voice and that attracted lots of visitors to the stall. 4. I think I was paid per day some ₹3 & on Sundays ₹5. The regional man was very happy with the sales he presented me with a mouth organ . Thanks and Regards.
