What time would your kid be back from school??. I think you will need nanny for 2 hours. In apartments in USA, I have seen Indian women doing babysitting for these hours. It won't take your entire salary for sure
The timings to school here are 9 to 3.30 and kids will be back by 4. I was told by one of my neighbors until kids reach atleast 3rd grade, one has to drop them at the bus stop and can’t leave them alone.hubby can’t drop We he leaves to office very early. Secondly, If I have to drop kid at school and come back,we have to pay beforecare and after care. My hubby work hours are crazy and he travels too.So be it housework, misc stuff or kid activities,I have to deal. Nanny works for people who earn quite a decent salary. For a full time job with what I did,the minimum I Am getting is $10 and am restarting after many years. The travel distance should also make sense for the salary I get. There are some 9 to 3.30 jobs but either Travel distance is atleast 40 minutes which means I have to start early and the above comes to consideration.. I am honestly trying hard considering the above...desperately sending resumes from 9 to 5 continuously from home like a full time job
@anika987 If money is not a concern and if you are good at cooking or artistic , MUA or fitness or any other passionate hobby why not start a YouTube channel related ? You will be fully occupied with shooting videos, editing etc and it’s completely flexible. Initially it may be difficult but slowly you can improve it. There are so many women who do this and are fully occupied with such things. By this way you can balance both family and passion. More the subscribers and views more money you get!
this is a actuate great idea but am such a low profile person that even my own friends can’t see my stuff in Facebook page! YouTube means everyone can see and comment on what I do..one has to be emotionally strong also.. This IL is my parallel world..in real life am reserved and not even my neighbors know anything about me.. I know people are giving me great ideas and I feel terrible that am not able to implement it.. I know my zone and have been an admin support for sometime and also in HR.Before kids, even for small salary am able to put long hours but now it is tough. Right now trying for part time desperately between the time limit and also taking udemy courses..
That’s what I am looking..trying hard but nothing materializing as of now but I won’t give up..l will keep looking
Based on your posts and interests and personal situation I have a few suggestions reg. stay at home jobs .. 1. Corporate- as others suggested do courses and certifications and try for part time jobs..register in free lancing websites and do free lance work from home..initially pay maybe less but once you get experience and a good reputation you can earn more..someone's mentioned Upwork which is a good website for free lancing.. 2. Website, blog, YouTube channel etc if you are interested...related to food, fitness etc..f your website picks up traffic and has many visitors you can earn money using ads.. 3. Can do teachers training ..And become a school teacher..or pre school teacher..a relative of mine did that..after marriage and settling in U.S. and kid she was unable to do MNC job so she worked as a pre school teacher till kids grew up..simultaneously she certified herself and is now working in some company and earning fairly well..kids are grown up and can look after themselves. Of course she was lucky to get that job thru reference from relative.. 4. I'm in India..in mine and few apartment complexes in my area, so many home makers with school going kids use their kitchen as their workplace! They sell Home made batters, instant home made mixes, powders like chutney sambhar rasam powder, homemade masala powders, few gravy curries, rice items, rotis etc which they make depending on a request basis..lot of busy working ladies, busy moms, senior citizens etc are regular customers as they can get home cooked stuffs and don't have time or energy to do themselves... There is good money in this also..see anyway they need to cook for family including kids . They cook little extra quantity and earn money..of course few one time investments are to be done like good quality mixie, wet grinder, food processors etc..for example if one kg of of batter is prepared, maybe cost of ingredients and water, electricity totally maybe 30 or 40 rupees..but she maybe selling at 60 -70 Rupees to others,..so profit margin is there.. Can you explore this..so many ladies struggling to cook and manage household and office work in absence of family support and domestic helps. You re sure to get good response. 5. Fitness and yoga trainer.

Initially pay is very very little but more you work on it , more better paying tasks will come your way based on your points. all the best for it.
