    Dear @Afresh ,

I hope you do know that you bring 'A Fresh' perspective with your responses. T
This is bang on! All I was trying to say was this and you put it so well. Thank you my friend.

That was indeed a lovely response. Like I mentioned earlier, I catch myself going trough notions of life and only when I allow myself to pause and look at the good things do I realize how I have been wallowing. You know with festival season starting, I am indeed thinking about sarees only to realize that I still have so many sarees that I have not worn yet that were given very lovingly to me. I am getting ready to use them all now.

Like @Thyagarajan sir mentioned, indeed you have summed it up well for me. It is such a joy for me to receive such lovely responses. Thank you!

    Dear @Thyagarajan sir ,

Thank you for such a warm, uplifting message. Indeed, I tell my daughter that I like to keep things aroung me that tell me stories. Rarely will you find art that has no meaning to me or bare walls. I quite enjoy doing that. You are right in saying that joy can be found in the littlest of things.

Thank you for your warm words about my writing. I appreciate each and every response I get here and enjoy them in a similar fashion.

    Dear Sabitha,

Your writing transports me to the place where you are and the event you are describing, such an effect your writing has !!. It also brought my memories of my mom who is no more and how I cherish her sarees !!

I can truly relate to your writing, recently has to part with my 10 yr old Car ( I used to call it my chellam, companion). I have so many memories attached and I always felt that I was taken care and safe with her and felt very emotional. Like you said , some may find it weird being attached to an object, but it is only us who know the emotions behind it.

Keep writing and make all of us more happy !!

    Dear @Afresh ,

Thank you! That means a lot - I am happy too. Finding someone who understands
is difficult and I have lucked out here on IL where I have had that consistent support and connection. Thank you for always being there, my friend!

    Dear Radhika, @radsahana ,

So nice to hear from you and somehow could not help feeling "why am I not surprised?" Thank you for your warm words, Raadhika. It means a lot to me

You have said it correctly! Objects and the meanings behind them are personal and only we know the value. I do understand how cars become our second homes here in the US! I am sure you can make your next car your 'chellam' too thinking of your first car and smiling. It works :) Moms, dads and things and memories I tell you. Perhaps there comes a time in everyone's life that we think more of them than ever and I believe that that is a good reason to give some good memories to our kids as well. I am happy that you have your moms sarees and they bring a smile. Thank you Radhika for your lovely feedback and warm words.

    My dear friend Sabitha :),

I marvel at you and how you come up with snippets like this. So heart warming, simple and beautiful. I’m replying after reading it for the second time and will admit I’m having mixed emotions running through my mind. It’s nostalgia, melancholy, overwhelming and I can go on. Nevertheless touched a chord.

I’m not a materialistic person either but I have a few things that’s priceless to me and I treasure them, like you mentioned each has a story and a person behind it. How lovely that feeling is isn’t it? Like always I love the quote of Bach you referred to here, wonder how you pick just the right ones at the right moment Sabitha :), I have my reasons for saying it.

Enjoyed your post . Thank you.

    Dear Meenu @Scorpio707 ,

Thank you as always my friend, for such a warm response and words. It makes me happy that you read it twice :) Talk about nostalgia - sometimes when I think of the past and a certain object, I do seem to regret for not having tried to save it. It is kind of weird - not materialistic, yet certain objects mean more than we realize. My grandmother had literally zero possessions, yet when she passed on recently I remember asking my uncle to keep a small item for me saved from her Ayurvedic medicine box - she was an ayurvedic doctor!

I do hope it is all good reasons that Bach quote came to help you with. I am happy to have found a fellow Bach fan! I am not sure if the quote gets me started with a snippet or the other way around. Thank you as always for your feedback!
